CardRun
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026.
CardRun is a macOS app that copies media files from memory cards (or any folder you select) to destinations you choose on your Mac.
CardRun does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Specifically:
- The app does not make any network requests.
- The app does not include analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.
- The app does not require an account, sign-in, or registration.
- All file access is mediated by macOS's App Sandbox and limited to the folders you explicitly grant access to via the system open panel.
- Files you ingest are copied between locations on your own Mac (and any drives connected to it). Nothing leaves your device.
The app stores its own preferences (folder and rename templates, destination bookmarks, duplicate policy) in standard macOS user defaults, on your Mac. These preferences are not transmitted anywhere.
Children's privacy
CardRun is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. Because the app collects no data of any kind, there is no specific risk to children's privacy.
Changes to this policy
If material changes are ever made to this policy, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date above. Because the app collects no data, the policy is expected to remain stable.
